1- Lubrication of the hinges :
Use a WD40 type lubricant to oil the rails and hinges. Apply generously
and then wipe the excess.
2- Lubrication of the O rings:
Use a silicone gel to lubricate the O rings. The O ring system need
a regular maintenance and should be changed every year. The water tight
properties will be maintained if these tips are followed.
3- Cleaning of the aluminum and ABS walls:
A- Aluminum : Your aluminum case do not need special attention.
Even though, you should wipe the outside walls of your case with a humid
cloth to avoid stains. You can find on the market a polishing paste
that will bring your aluminum case to its original shine and even better.
These pastes are usually applied with an electric buffer.
B- ABS : Cleaning your case with a humid cloth will do. Some
specialized vinyl rejuvenator liquids are available in the trade. You
should look for those available at your auto parts dealer. It will bring
back the original shine and will hide the minor scratches. We strongly
suggest that you wipe all the excess residue. This residue is very slippery
and would cause an handling problems.
4- Damage parts and replacement :
A- Latches and hinges : We strongly suggest that all damaged
accessories be replaced at once. Hinges and latches have to be in perfect
conditions in order for your case to perform at its best. Your case
will protect your equipment only if your lid close perfectly.
B- Foam : Your equipment have to fit perfectly in order to
be 100% protected against vibrations and impacts. All damaged foam inside
your case should be replaced immediately. Any loose ends will cause
your equipment to move and come in contact with the inside wall.
